HOTEL AND CLUB PUNTA LEONA UPDATES ITS MEASURES TO FACE COVID-19

Written by Tamara Soto | Apr 22, 2021 10:08:54 PM

The current global situation has forced us, as responsible citizens and tourist entrepreneurs, to constantly review and update our protocols and hygienic-sanitary measures that are applied daily in our operation.

We are dedicated to hospitality and taking care of our visitors is a priority that we continue to perform with the utmost care, in fact, with even more due diligence now during this international health emergency.

During these past few weeks, in which we have been forced to physically distance ourselves, our mission has been to prepare ourselves so that staying at our hotel is possible and without putting anyone at risk. Therefore, we intend to be completely ready when the government authorities determine that it is possible to reactivate the hotel industry.

Your health and safety

The priority of our team is to protect the health, safety and well-being of all our guests and collaborators, which is why we have established strict hygiene and disinfection procedures, even if this involves changing the way we offer some of our services.

Some of the changes that we have been implementing to face the "new normal" are as follows:

  • We installed more “foot activation sinks” in high-traffic areas such as the reception, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, among others.
  • We placed staff at the entrance of restaurants to apply gel alcohol to visitors.
  • We increased the number of alcohol dispensers in all areas.
  • We modified the buffet service in order to eliminate all self service options, and we assigned personnel with gloves and a mask to attend the service.
  • We instructed our service personnel to maintain a "protocol of silence" while serving our clients.
  • By reducing the seating capacity in our restaurants to 50%, we have established an advanced reservation protocol at the Carabelas Restaurant, as well as a reservation protocol according to the arrival of clients to the restaurants at Playa Blanca and León Marino.
  • We put signs with health and hygiene protocols as a means of prevention, education and compliance with them.
  • We have taken measures to try to keep the recommended physical distance in different areas, such as, room modules, restaurants, supermarkets, reception, bars and other common spaces.
  • We established new disinfection processes in rooms and common areas.
  • We have established strict health protocols with our staff to ensure not only their safety but that of our guest’s safety too.
  • We placed dividing acrylic panels at strategic customer service points such as reception, supermarket and cashiers.

We support our collaborators

The success of a company depends a great deal on the commitment of its collaborators, so at Hotel and Club Punta Leona we are focused on finding the best strategies to take care of one of our most valuable assets.

In order to save as many jobs as possible, we have implemented tele-working in many positions and reductions in working hours. In a few cases, the temporary suspension of employment contracts was necessary, all covered by the "rescue" measures approved by the government. Likewise, we integrated an internal commission to identify the families with the highest social risk and which we are supporting bi-weekly with basic food product provisions.

We know that this will all pass in time and we will be able to look back with pride knowing that we did the best we could within our reach for our clients, collaborators and staff.

As we continue to monitor how this situation evolves, we will keep you informed of all the measures we will be taking to ensure your well-being.
